To start out I brainstormed all of the ideas I could come up with for studio brief 2.
Most of my ideas resolved around an exhibition which is something I do want to avoid. I do have the idea to create an Oscars party pack. Due to the Oscars being such a prestigious event in America there are many people who have Oscars parties. This consists of many people gathering together at one persons house to watch the ceremony on the TV. I thought it might be an interesting idea to create an Oscars party pack which could be bought before the ceremony.
Inside the pack could be a variety of different things, I could create a miniature ballot box and ballots for people to predict the winners and losers, along with this I could create a leader board for people to keep track of the person who gets the most answers correct. I could also add my publication into the pack which would create a function for it. I have also thought about how I could make the pack very interactive with the write your own speech option. I have also been thinking that I could make my Oscars pack web based in the form of an application to make the Oscars an interactive experience.
I have a keen interest in screen based resolutions with a particular focus on web design. I want to put these interests into my practice and improve on my web skills. I have made a small brainstorm about how to make my idea more web based and I came up with the Guess the Speech game, this has a direct link to my publication and also a focus on one particular aspect. I think I will look at the Ellen DeGeneres game "Head's Up" for some primary research into this idea.
Though I really like these ideas I do feel that an exhibition would be more suited to the topic. I have come up with many ideas for an exhibition based on the Oscars. Some of my ideas are quite unique and I could produce the content for the exhibition rather than just the branding around it which would make my idea more unique. I have also thought about creating an exhibition which is web based to reach a wider range of people through their own computers. This could still be an Oscars experience but it would reach more people and would present me with some great opportunities to look into usability and user interface.
