Design aesthetics:

Tanya (the owner) wanted the price list to be a nice size so her customers could hold it in their hands and also fit it into their handbag. I created several sizes for the price list including A4, A5, 10cmx5cm, 14cmx14cm and 16cmx16cm.

Printing the price lists myself:

I printed the first 200 price lists on my own printer. I also cut out and stapled the price lists by hand. This was a grueling process so when the client asked for a further 200 to be printed I contacted a local printers, LGP and had them print the booklets for me. This saved me time and money.

Evaluation:

This brief was very enjoyable as I was given almost complete freedom. As this was one of the first briefs that I completed for this module I am able to look back after all I have learnt since, I can honestly say that I am still very proud of this response and the hard work I put into the brief. Though near the end of the brief the client wanted a specific font that I personally did not think worked, I had to go with what the client wanted as they were paying me for it. This was my first ever paid design job and the client has requested 2 further print runs which I have done myself and also with an external printing press, LGP. Working with printers is something I have never done before and I now feel positive about this process and will be using commercial printers in the future.
