OUGD405 - How To.. Final Product

For this brief we had to work in a group. I found this quite a difficult task as, along with my group, we did not connect fully with the task.

The final product which we created was an exercise guide for students. We made sure that the size of this guide would fit perfectly in any students bedroom, we also chose to perforate each section in order for people to be able to pull off each exercise and take it around with them.

The final design.

We chose to keep our design as simple as possible in order to not over complicate the information we wished to see. Sarah and Ewan created the illustrations with Daniel putting the finish product together on illustrator. I was responsible for coming up with the instructions for each exercise. I had to keep the language very informal in order for it to be engaging to students. We chose the simple font, Helvetica which meant that our instructions were clear and legible.

After a few members of the group experimented with different logo ideas we settled on one which was incredibly simple and to the point. By kerning each letterform in order for it to be closer together, this is a style which I am not the most comfortable using as I prefer my logos to be very simple, crisp and clear.

We chose to add our catch phrase underneath our logo which was part of the brief.
